London Vodka proudly sponsors Women in Culinary Leadership Event at Vermilion, New York City, USA: Vermilion restaurateur Rohini Dey and Susan Ungaro, President of the James Beard Foundation, launched the Women in Culinary Leadership program on Sept. 18 2012 with a panel of Martha Stewart, Lidia Bastianich, Susan Ungaro (President James Beard Foundation), Dorothy Hamilton (President International Culinary Center, Rohini Dey, and moderator Martha Teichner (CBS news). This James Beard Foundation Vermilion WICL program raises funding to support a year-long or six month training program for women to build their chef, restaurateur and entrepreneurship leadership and management skills across both the front and back of the house.
Chefs For Women: Ten celebrity chefs have partnered with Vermilion and the James Beard Foundation to support the WICL scholarship by featuring their marquis items at Vermilion NYC & Chicago. Additional collaborations with the CFW chefs include providing internship opportunities and building traction to the cause of promoting women in culinary.
